Dr. Holman Chan, MD was trained in both Canada and the United States. He is board-certified
and specializes in both 'Foot & Ankle' and 'Orthopedic Trauma.' This includes joint
reconstruction/replacement (ankle, knee, hip, elbow, and shoulder) and musculoskeletal
deformity correction. In 2013, he joined Nevada Orthopedic and Spine Center, an orthopedic
multi-subspecialty group that services both Las Vegas and Henderson.
Dr. Chan completed his Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New
York, NY. He completed his Orthopedic Traumatology Fellowship with the University of
Rochester at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.
Dr. Chan's elective Foot & Ankle practice focuses on all areas, including trauma, overuse
syndromes, sports tendinous and ligamentous injuries, foot deformities, and arthritis. His initial
approach is always conservative, employing nonsurgical treatment including physical therapy,
orthotics and bracing, shoe wear change, and even injections. He is conscientious of each
individual's social and financial situation when deciding treatment together.
Dr. Chan's Orthopedic Trauma practice is primarily coverage of many of the Primary Care
Physician offices, Urgent Care Centers, and Hospital Emergency Departments in Las Vegas and
Henderson. This includes orthopedic trauma involving the upper and lower extremities, pelvis,
and acetabulum. However, Dr. Chan receives many referrals for post-traumatic and congenital
deformities and post-traumatic arthritis. Naturally, he has a special interest in deformity
correction and joint reconstruction/replacement.
Dr. Chan's advanced subspecialty training in foot and ankle arthroscopy, total ankle
replacement, deformity correction, and fracture care has enabled him to provide
state-of-the-art and minimally-invasive care for his patients.
